This
room is dedicated to Dora (last name unknown), a “Lady
of the Evening”, who is Cora’s older sister. She
was believed to have worked this room from 1887 to 1893. Dora
was the complete opposite of her younger sister Cora. Dora
was weak, intelligent and very refined. She was even known
to have attended church every Sunday, much to the dismay of
the local townspeople. As the legend is told, Dora and Cora
never got along, they were known to fight over the same man,
with Cora always prevailing. Finally, with Dora being fed
up with her younger sister, left the hotel, only to be seen
working the “Old Red Rooster”, directly across
the street. |
