Dayton's
Room

| Prior to
1868, before the extensive mining in the Twin Lakes region,
the village of Twin Lakes was called Dayton, then the county
seat of government in Lake County. Dayton in 1868 was moved
to Granite, because of the railroad stop there. Thus, Twin Lakes
was established. |
